introduction of vadic maths

There are 16 main sutras in vadic maths. which is very simple in use and makes easy to solve. There sutras are developed by indian mathematicians. The vadic maths can be used in our regular life to make calculation easy as possible as.

so now i will teach you some sutras which i know..

if you know table up to 5..you can solve vadic maths very comfortly..

1. like if you want to multiply 7*8,

by simple sutra- just you have to substract from 10 and multiply to each remainder..and substract diagonaly..

i.e.        7        3
             8        2
         -------------------
            5        6
         -------------------
Here 7 and 8 substracted from 10 and we got 3 and 2. Then multiply 3*2 to get 6 and 7-2 or 8-3 to get 5.

i.e.       9*8

           9          1
           8          2
        ------------------
          7          2
         ------------------
Here 9 and 8 substracted from 10 and 1*2 multiplyied to get 2 and 9-2 or 8-1 to get 7.

2. like if you want to multiply numbers just below 100 it's very easy..

i.e.  98*95

         98       2
         95       5
     -------------------
        93       10
     -------------------
Here 98 and 95 substracted from 100. and 2*5 to get 10 and 98-5 or 95-2 to get 93.

i.e. 85*98

      85       15
      98         2
    ---------------------
    83         30
    --------------------
Here 100-85=15,
         100-98=2 and 15*2=30, 85-2=83or 98-15=83

3. if you want to multiply two numbers just above 10, you have to substract no by 10 and add them diagonly and multiply vertically..
i.e.       12*13

           12      2
           13      3
     --------------------
          15     6
        -------------------
Here 12-10=2,13-10=3 and add any one of them diagonly to get 15=12+3or 13+2 and multiply vertically 2*3=6.

i.e.      14*15

          14          4
          15          5
      ----------------------
          19         0
-----------------2-------here 2 will be carry over and ans will be
          21          0
      ---------------------

  4.     Multiplying numbers just over 100--

i.e. 103*102

        103       3
        102        2
      --------------------
      105        6
--------------------------
Here 103-100=3,102-100=2 and them diagonaly 103+2 or 102+3to get 105 and 3*2=6.

5.  Square numbers that end in 5 using the sutra BY ONE MORE THAN THE ONE BEFORE(ekadhiken purven)

i.e.   65*65=4225

        so for this sutra
        6           5
        6+1      5
  ----------------------
      42         25
   ---------------------
Here just add one to any of first digit and then multiply vertically them..

6*7=42
5*5=25

i.e.     75*75=5625

          7               5
          7+1          5
   -----------------------------
        56               25
    -----------------------------

6.   multification with 11.

it's very easy to multiply 11 with any two digit number..

like 23*11 =253
       45*11=495
      54*11= 594

Here you can see the pattern that first and last digit of the first number is same in the answer..
i.e. 23*11

     2   2+3   3
----------------------
    2   5    3
---------------------
in multiplying with 11 the number's first and last digit will be same and addition of those two will come middle between..

i.e      54*11

         5      5+4     4

---------------------------------
         5        9        4
  ------------------------------

like above it's also easy to multoply 11 with  three digit number;;

      112*11=1232
      132*11=1452
      234*11=2574
i.e.    132*11

       1  1+3  3+2  2
    -------------------------------
      1     4       5    2
   --------------------------------
here first and last digit will be same..the second digit of answer will come by adding first two digit of number and third digit of answer will come by adding last two digit of number.

i.e.    234*11

      2    2+3    3+4    4
  ------------------------------------
      2       5       7       4
  -------------------------------------

later we will discuss more sutras..
